Been There, Done That, I Survived! Long Time Ago In Sagada

Sagada is a town in Mountain Province. The travel to Sagada took us more or less 12 hours via van provided by Travel Ventours - an agency for Sagada travel and tour. It maybe a remote area but the time and effort of visiting it is much worthy. Sagada will let you experience a nature rich living and somehow let you forget the stressful life in the city.

A roller coaster-like road to Sagada
Enjoy a roller coaster-like road  along with the green and rocky mountains when visiting Sagada. Roads to Sagada are bit dangerous, drivers must be careful and better if the driver is already familiar in the place. Big thanks to kuya Jay for making the entire tour safe for us.

The Hanging Coffins
Hanging Coffins is the Igorots burial traditions that have fascinated the world thousand years ago. Going to the hanging coffins would require a bit of trek and pass thru the echo valley. Written in the coffins are the names of the departed ones which was given based on their tribe tradition. The natives of Sagada now a days bears two names, one given by their tribe and another one for their identity in modern living. Better visit Hanging Coffins to know the rest of its history.

Top Load Experience
The main mode of transportation in town is jeepney. Jeepney that is full of passengers even on the top. Due to limited jeepneys traversing the mountainous areas of the town, they allow top loads to maximize the trips. It maybe dangerous for the people visiting Sagada but this is very normal to its natives. Just take the courage and accept the challenge of experiencing the top load.

Kiltepan Peak
Experience the very cold breeze, view of the sea of clouds and witness the sunrise all at once in Kiltepan Peak. You can reach the peak by riding a jeepney or for more adventure you can walk/jog. For better viewing you must go there as early as 5:00 AM. The earlier the better as the earliest bird catches the worms.

Into The Woods

Pine trees all around. The tress will make you realize how refreshing it is to be away from the stressful life in the city. Nothing but nature is what Sagada really has to offer. More trees less stress.

Sumaguing & Lumiyang Cave Connection
The Buwis Buhay Experience For Cave Connection
It took us 4 hours to traverse the two caves - Sumaguing and Lumiyang cave. Different rock formations and stalagmites will catch your attention and will make you feel relax despite the feeling of creepiness. Really a buwis buhay experience but it is all worthy of the weary and sweat and it will make you a proud survivor of the Sagada's cave connection.

Trekking To Bomod-ok Falls
Passing Through A Bridge To Bomod-ok Falls
The Bomod-ok Falls
Trekking to Bomod-ok falls will took 5 hours back and forth. Another buwis buhay experience but this time along  rice fields. The very cold water will freshen you up when you reach the falls.

Sagada Weaving
Sagada Pottery
Sagada is very rich in culture. Natives in there still patronizing their ancients' way of living and they are proud of their originality. The Sagada weaving and pottery shows the very simple yet elegant culture of the town.

The Banaue Welcome Arc
The Banaue DPWH Park
The Banaue Rice Terraces

We took the Manila-Banaue-Sagada route so that we can pass through this very famous Banaue Rice Terraces. Always been a dream for me to see this amazing creation that's why when somebody invited me for a trip to Sagada I didnt hesitated after knowing that Banaue Rice Terraces is included in the itenerary.
