Sweet Escape To The Sweet Province of Guimaras

Guimaras province is just minutes away from Iloilo City. We started our Guimaras tour from Ortiz wharf in Iloilo City and landed to Jordan wharf - the main gateway to Guimaras. For a whole day adventure (from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM), we were able to visit all the Guimaras' pride. Our tour was arranged by Kuya Cherald the very friendly owner of Kuya Cherald Travel and Tours. Through a tricycle, kuya Dennis drive for us around the province. Kuya Dennis is our three in one guide - tour guide, driver & photographer. For your future Guimaras adventure Kuya Cherald is the best  guide recommended for you. You can contact him through this number +63917 9647 934.

Boarding on a boat to Jordan - the capital of Guimaras

Welcome to Guimaras Province

Not just the smallest plaza in the Philippines but also with the smallest statue of Dr. Jose Rizal. This smallest plaza is located in Jordan, the capital of the province.

Mango Plantation

Guimaras is known for its sweetest mangoes. In this plantation there are 18 varieties of sweet mangoes. Tons of mangoes are being produced in this multi-hectare wide land for local and import purposes. The sweetest mangoes are produced in the months of April to June.

Guimaras Bike Trail

If your're trying to be fit and biking is your means, then experience this 45 minute bike trail under those big trees. The trees will give you comfort from the skin-burning heat of the sun. You gonna have to enjoy and gonna go home healthy.

Trappist Monastery

Trappist Monastery is one of the oldest monastery in the country. A very peaceful place for reflection. After offering prayers, you can go around the clean and green ground of the monastery and also you can buy souvenirs and processed food made by the monks at an affordable prices.

Guisi Beach
Guimaras is very much known for its white sand beaches and Guisi beach is just one of them. A very silent, not crowded and  clean shore is perfect for getaways to escape the polluted and crowded cities. This will refresh you through fresh air and the salty water will restore your energy. Unluckily, we were not able to swim since we are only intended for land trip. But definitely we'll be back to enjoy the beaches of Guimaras.

The Old Guisi Light House
The New Guisi Light HOuse

Guisi light house is the second oldest light house in the country next to the Cape Bojeador in Ilocos Norte. The old light house is  not operational anymore but they built a new one as the operational. Along with the light house is the ruins which is best for your pictorials. Learn more about history when you travel to this old and a bit creepy place.

Guimaras Wind Farm

Guimaras wind farm is  privately operated which supplies electricity to the entire province. This is located in San Lorenzo which is minutes away from the capital. An environment friendly source of energy and an eye-refreshing view is what the wind farm has to offer you. Nothing but freshness when you're in the peak of the farm.

Sole Vista Mountain Resort

The sole Vista Mountain Resort is much known in the province as Mini Tagaytay. The resort will offer you an over viewing of the wind farm and the blue beaches of the town of Buenavista.

Balaan Bukid

Balaan bukid is the perfect way of ending our Guimaras adventure. We were able to offer a bit of sacrifice when we walk up to the big cross. At the top of Balaan Bukid is an over viewing of Iloilo City.
